Naruto
The anime named Naruto. To tell the truth all I have seen of it was what I read of the manga. I know there are three main characters, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. These three have somewhat of a love triangle going on. Sakura is in love with Sasuke, who could care less. Naruto is in love with Sakura, but because of the way Sasuke acts to her, she could care less. However the one difference is, Sasuke doesn’t have a love we know of as of yet.

The triangle gets a twist in the very beginning, while in an argument with Naruto, Sasuke who is already in Naruto’s face, is bumped by a fellow student. Sakura notices Naruto for the first time as the bump into Sasuke causes his lips to come into contact with those of Naruto’s. Now as we have already seen with Toonami, there is no homosexuality in their anime. An example of this is in “Sailor Moon”. Don’t worry I am sure Naruto and Sasuke will not be cousins, but I don’t see the kiss happening either.

In many of his fight scenes, Kakashi is seen reading a magazine named “Make-out Paradise.” However I doubt this will be seen on Toonami. It will probably be a manga or a ninja-training guide. Here is an example is from Dragonball. There is a scene where Bulma and Goku are trying to fish Oolong out of a lake. In the original version, Bulma places her panties on the fishhook. On the Toonami version, it was a dollar bill.

Another issue brought about in a fighting anime is blood. There is bound to be blood if there is fighting. Once again Toonami will drop the ball, like they have in the past. For example, in Dragonball Z during the “Cell Games” saga, Cell sends a laser through Trunk’s chest. In the original there was a clean shot, and you could see right through him. Once he fell, he twitched gagging, then coughed up blood. In the version on Toonami, you got it; there was a black hole. Yes, he still twitched, yet no blood. I must admit that may be hard for kids to watch, so I have a lighter example of a blood scene. In one of the first few episodes of “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” Herro was strawn out on a medical table after Duo had shot him. In the original, we heard ‘drip, drip’ and then they show his arm as blood fell from it to the floor. In the version on Toonami afternoon, as they showed uncut on the ‘Midnight Run’. Back to the subject at hand, we heard the ‘drip, drip’ however there was no blood. Why in the world would you keep the sound effect if the substance causing the noise is gone?! Also to add to the paragraph above of objects being cut out. Later in the scene, Duo comes to bust Herro out. While he was in the process Herro asked for Duo’s knife, that part of the scene was cut out. << >> But hey at least the cut the whole scene out so people wouldn’t notice. For once, a good cover up.
